This guide provides transparency into how Looplex licenses its platform and should help customers make informed and strategic software licensing decisions related to our different subscription plans and services. Overview of Looplex Licensing Models

Looplex offers flexible licensing models designed to provide cost-effective solutions for legal departments and law firms. Our licensing models are divided into two categories: usage-based and licensing based on active users.

Usage-Based Licensing

Our usage-based licensing model is designed to provide cost-effective pricing for our customers based on their actual usage and resources consumed. This model varies depending on the feature:

  • For content generation and analysis, licensing is based on the number of documents generated or analyzed per month.

  • For lifecycle management, licensing is based on the number of running instances of business process flows and the number of available automated flows in a given account.

  • Unlimited users can access the platform without additional licensing costs.

By offering a usage-based model, customers can pay for what they use, and our pricing is transparent based on the number of features and resources consumed.

Why Usage-Based Pricing? Our usage-based pricing model is designed to help you grow flexibly and without friction. With this model, you only pay for what you use, ensuring that you are not punished for doing something well or thinking of new ways to solve a problem with fewer resources. This pricing model starts simple, stays simple, and scales well, allowing you to control costs while also having the flexibility to grow.

Licensing Based on Active Users

For some modules of our platform, such as Looplex Cases, there are no usage limits. For those services, our licensing is based on the number of active users.

This licensing model allows our customers to manage an unlimited number of lawsuits, contracts, and projects without having to worry about additional licensing costs. However, customers will be charged based on the number of active users who access the platform.

Our licensing based on active users is designed to provide cost-effectiveness for our customers while ensuring that we can continue to deliver high-quality services and support. Customers can easily manage their licenses by adding or removing users as needed.

Subscription Plans and Product Offerings

Looplex offers different subscription plans designed to meet the needs of legal departments and law firms. You can choose the plan that has the right volume of documents and the features you need, ensuring that you control costs and keep your priorities. We will never stop optimizing our plans to let you go further and faster with the same features.

Our subscription plans are divided into two categories: Small Business (B2C) and Corporate (B2B) offerings.

Small Business (B2C) and Corporate (B2B) Offerings

Looplex Fit is our entry-level solution for solo lawyers and small offices with up to 10 lawyers. This plan offers affordable pricing and basic functionality to start the digital transformation process[^1].

For medium and large-sized law firms and corporate legal departments, we offer Looplex Premium subscription plans that provide an additional set of artificial intelligence functionalities, connected litigation management, multi-instrument transactional operations, and administration, auditing, integration, and security.

The Looplex Premium subscription plans are Basic, Standard, and Pro, and they offer different features and usage limits:

  • Basic. offers core features, up to 100 documents per month, up to 5 running process flows, and up to 100 instances of automated flows. Unlimited case management.

  • Standard. offers advanced features, up to 1,000 documents per month, up to 20 running process flows, and up to 1,000 instances of automated flows. Unlimited case management.

  • Pro. offers additional advanced features, up to 10,000 documents per month, up to 80 running process flows, and up to 50,000 instances of automated flows. Unlimited case management.

Add-On Packages

Each subscription plan comes with a certain usage threshold for each service or feature. Looplex also offers add-on packages that provide extra usage limits without upgrading the entire subscription to a higher and more expensive tier. Our add-on packages are available for additional Looplex Cases individual licenses per user, storage space, automated workflows instances, BI dashboards, as well as additional service credits for our knowledge engineering project services.

Services Follow the Same Principle

In addition to using the platform, legal design, legal engineering, and other services can be activated through service credits that are already included in your subscription plan or in separate packages. This ensures that our services follow the same principle as our licensing model, allowing you to pay for what you use and ensuring that costs remain under control.

Commercial Proposal

At Looplex, some services and lower subscription tiers can only be hired directly online. However, our Premium clients have the opportunity to negotiate special terms and conditions to our offer. These conditions will be outlined in a formal commercial proposal.

Service Credits

Service credits are an essential part of Looplex’s subscription plans, and they can be used within a 12-month period before they expire. If you contracted an annual commitment plan or higher, all credits will be released at once each year. In monthly subscription plans, credits are released every month.

Service credits are a percentage of the subscription price, and the ratio of respective credits may change if the ratio of prices between plans changes. The amount and value of credits for a service may change according to our Pricing Policy, but it will not affect credits already acquired or ongoing projects.

Upgrades or Downgrades

Customers have the flexibility to upgrade or downgrade their subscription plans to meet their changing needs. If you have unused credits from previous periods, you can use them until their contracted expiration date.

All automated content that you developed in previous plans and which is your exclusive license will continue to be available to you, even if your new plan does not have an equivalent solution available. However, certain functionalities may no longer be available after migration, such as in the case of renewal with a plan downgrade.

Subscription Term

Our standard subscription duration is 12 months, which is automatically renewable at the end of each cycle if the customer does not expressly cancel it. However, we also offer customers the choice to commit to monthly, annual, or biannual subscription terms.

Monthly subscriptions provide the most flexibility, allowing customers to pay on a monthly basis without any long-term commitment. Annual and biannual subscriptions offer significant savings and are perfect for customers who want to commit to our services for a longer period of time. The longer the minimal commitment period, the lower the subscription price will be. This is because longer commitments allow us to plan better and ensure that we can provide the best possible service and support to our customers.
