Data Input
To automate document creation, analyze external content, advance workflow processes (LegalOps), or feed BI views and generate intelligence insights, the Looplex platform must capture inputs that provide specific data and facts for a concrete case.
This ingestion of inputs for a legal problem can occur in various ways:
API
An API integration is the connection between two or more applications, through their APIs, allowing these systems to exchange data directly without human intervention. API integrations accelerate various business processes in legal departments and law firms, removing unnecessary human effort of manually transferring data and enabling system synchronization to boost productivity in legal or administrative teams.
Looplex obtains data directly from the internet via API from numerous public sources, such as:
- ZIP Codes
- Area Codes
- Banks
- CNPJ (Brazilian Company Registry)
- IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics)
- National Holidays
- FIPE Price Tables
- ISBN
- .br Domain Registrations
- Tax Rates
For API communication, Looplex offers dozens of ready-to-use connectors, each integrating with a different market application commonly used by legal professionals in legal departments or law firms. Check our Connectors and Integrations page for more information.
You can also create your own integrations for solutions where no ready-made connectors are available. To do this, Looplex adheres to the OpenAPI standard, which defines a specification for describing standardized, programming language-independent interfaces, allowing humans and computers to discover and understand a service’s features without requiring source code access, additional documentation, or network traffic inspection.
When correctly defined via OpenAPI, a legal engineer can understand and interact with a remote service with minimal implementation logic. See our portal for documentation for details.
RPA
Robotic Process Automation (RPA) facilitates the creation, deployment, and management of software bots that emulate human actions interacting with digital systems and software.
Instead of integrating via APIs, a bot performs actions like entering a website, querying, and pulling data as if a human were doing it. When you see the “I’m not a robot” prompt on a site, it’s an attempt to block bots from working!
Looplex offers several ready-to-use RPAs, with a growing list added every month. Some examples include:

Document Extraction
From reading a client’s email to analyzing a contract sent by the opposing party’s lawyer or a judicial ruling, legal professionals often review external documents not generated by them to understand legal problems and provide case analysis or solutions.
Among Looplex’s various Intelligent Data Extraction (IDE) services is AI-based reading of semi-structured or unstructured documents.
The document data extraction service identifies variables (e.g., party names, identification documents, case numbers, contract dates) and semantically recognizes legal entities (legal data objects) within these documents.
Note: Looplex uses feedback from lawyers’ comments and adjustments to improve its machine learning models and data extraction services. All personal data is anonymized to ensure privacy.
This platform feature is also reused by other applications. Looplex reserves the right to reject the analysis of documents whose mapped output does not align with our semantic data model. For more details, refer to our Data Protection and Privacy Policy.
File Import
You can import files in various formats with content pre-mapped for Looplex, such as CSV, HTML, RTF, and Excel.
Looplex allows not only the transformation of these file data into responses for dynamic interviews in interface forms but also the transformation of these files into another output format, which can, in turn, be consumed and transformed into a document or application.
For instance, you might want to absorb all the data from an Excel spreadsheet, convert it to HTML, and paste it as a formatted table in your final Word (.docx) document.
This import can be performed via manual user upload or API call, provided the file location is available for access through Looplex Graph.
Below is the list of file formats that Looplex can import, as well as export options:
Unsupported features for a specific file format will not be recorded. Formats with range limits will be truncated silently:
