Overview of Looplex Graph
Looplex Graph is our integration gateway for data, legal engineering, content, and business intelligence. It provides a unified programming model to access a vast amount of structured data and intelligent actions. Through Looplex Graph, we create our Intelligent Documents, Legal Analytics and BI, Visual Law projects, Looplex Cases, and automated business processes, the Looplex Flows.
We are expanding our offerings of endpoints and registering all modules in Looplex Graph, whose structure and implementation are based on Microsoft Graph. This allows for joint consumption, further enhancing integration possibilities with the data and applications companies already use (e.g. Microsoft 365, SharePoint).
Where does this idea come from?
The notion of a graph representing a set of connections is not new. There are network graphs, data mining graphs, artificial intelligence graphs, image graphs, graphic engines, and graph databases. Facebook is a social graph, and LinkedIn refers to itself as a “Professional Graph.”
Microsoft originally articulated the “Office Graph” as an extension of Yammer’s “Enterprise Graph” concept when it launched three years ago. At the time, Microsoft described the Graph as a machine learning substrate capable of analyzing content, user interactions, activity flows, and the relationships between these components.
Since then, Microsoft has added more features to Graph to attract more developers inside and outside the company to build applications utilizing it. Looplex, in partnership with Microsoft, is one of these companies.
What does Looplex Graph do?
The idea behind Looplex Graph is to make our platform entities (e.g. document, BI, and flow templates) into smarter “applications” that require fewer intermediary steps to display contextual data and generate the legal content users need.
By integrating with Graph, intelligent documents, applications, and third-party services can (with user consent) access calendars to suggest meeting times, retrieve data from an Excel file or database to update a legal analysis dashboard, check recent interactions to inform users where their time is spent, track corporate SLA compliance, and so on.
Every month, we are adding multiple new API endpoints to Graph. In addition to Azure Active Directory, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook (email, calendar, and contacts), Office 365 Groups, OneDrive drives and files, and Excel, we are integrating all our Cognitive Services for data extraction, text summarization, linguistic prediction using GPT-3 models, sentiment analysis, PIX generation, document authenticity certification, and many others.
The Looplex Graph API provides a single base URL, https://openapi.looplex.com/, to access data and content in the Looplex cloud. You can use REST APIs or SDKs to access the endpoint and create applications supporting Looplex 365 scenarios, encompassing productivity, collaboration, education, legal intelligence, and more. Looplex Graph also includes an advanced suite of services that manages user and device identity, access, compliance, and security, helping protect organizations from data leaks or losses.
Together, the Microsoft Graph and Looplex Graph APIs empower the Looplex platform. With them, you can gain insights and analytics, extend Looplex experiences, and create unique, intelligent applications.
You can use Looplex Graph to create experiences tailored to the unique context of a legal document user to help them be more productive. Imagine an automation template that:
- Pulls data from other documents using a common data model that maps legal elements, feeding other documents, conducting intelligence analyses, and gaining insights, as well as executing business process recipes customizable to your needs;
- Analyzes the context of a dispute and suggests the most effective theses and arguments to impact a specific judge;
- Verifies whether the negotiated elements from the other party comply with your corporation’s legal and compliance handbook;
- Analyzes your next meeting or hearing and helps you prepare for it by providing participant profiles, including roles and collaborators, as well as information on the latest documents and projects they are working on;
- Retrieves client data, lists of registries, courts, forums, and the latest procedures, enabling real-time updates to autofill lists;
- Monitors calendar changes, sends an alert if you are spending too much time in meetings, and provides recommendations for cases you can delegate or deprioritize based on participant relevance and discussed themes;
- Helps classify personal data, categorizing files and attachments that should be restricted or encrypted in your DMS;
- Analyzes productivity data for each lawyer or intern/paralegal at scale, allowing decision-makers to discover insights and unlock valuable information about collaboration patterns and time allocation to boost business productivity;
- Displays personalized business data, indexing it for search alongside Looplex service data;
- Navigates other corporate resources using relationships;
- Gathers valuable insights, including trending popular files around the user;
- Identifies the most relevant people for the user (in Looplex Cases).
Looplex Graph continues to open partner-offered applications and services on the Looplex platform to the legal engineering community and developers, always with appropriate permissions in place.
