Looplex Intelligence
Contextual analysis and suggested next steps for legal work.
Looplex Intelligence helps lawyers understand new information, assess its effects on a matter or project, and identify actions to consider.
A court notice, a docket update, a client email, or a negotiation proposal may call for different responses. Intelligence connects that input with the available context and the organization’s instructions to support professional assessment and suggest relevant actions.
What Is Looplex Intelligence?
Intelligence is Looplex’s product for decision support in legal work.
Starting with a document, communication, or event, it analyzes the input, considers information related to the matter, and suggests possible next steps. These may include further analysis, collecting documents, preparing a response, or initiating a legal assignment.
Suggestions take account of the context and criteria applicable to the matter. The lawyer evaluates the recommendations and determines the appropriate action.
Key Features and Benefits
Interpreting New Information
Intelligence helps identify what incoming information means for work in progress.
In litigation, it can support the interpretation of a court notice or decision and the identification of issues that need examination. In a negotiation, it can analyze a proposal in light of terms already discussed. In an advisory matter, it can help organize the client’s request and identify what is needed to respond.
This analysis helps move from an initial reading to determining what needs to be done.
Recommendations in the Context of the Matter
The same information may call for different actions depending on the situation.
A settlement proposal, for example, needs to be considered alongside the negotiation history, available documents, and client instructions. A new docket update may have different effects depending on the stage of the proceedings and work already completed.
Intelligence uses the available, authorized context to connect new information with the relevant matter and formulate appropriate suggestions.
Applying the Organization’s Criteria
Recommendations can take account of the playbooks, policies, and instructions provided by the organization.
These materials establish criteria such as negotiation positions, situations requiring specialist analysis, necessary documents, and circumstances requiring approval.
This helps the team apply its knowledge consistently while preserving the lawyer’s assessment of each matter’s specific circumstances.
Identifying Information Needed
The analysis can also indicate that more information is needed before choosing an action.
A client request may depend on documents that are not yet available. A contract proposal may require confirmation of a commercial term. A procedural notice may require consultation of the full text of a decision.
In these situations, requesting clarification or supplementing the context may be the suggested next step.
From Recommendation to Legal Work
When an action involves carrying out an assignment, the lawyer can route it to Looplex Assistant.
Intelligence may suggest, for example, reviewing a draft or preparing further analysis. In Assistant, the professional defines the objective, guides execution, and reviews the deliverables.
This connection allows work to continue from the information that prompted the recommendation while retaining its relationship with the matter or project.
When a request uses an intake and assignment workflow, Works organizes routing, priority, and the allocation of responsibilities according to the playbooks. Intelligence’s recommendation provides an input to that process; initiating and executing the assignment follow the applicable authorizations.
An analysis may also indicate that updating the context or requesting clarification is sufficient. Incoming information does not always require a new assignment.
Use in Copilot or Autopilot Mode
In Copilot mode, Intelligence can support the interpretation of information and the assessment of possible actions during an interaction guided by the user.
In Autopilot mode, it can analyze inputs within a configured workflow and produce recommendations for evaluation or routing under the applicable rules. Delegated assignments are monitored in Workbench.
The modes describe how the activity is conducted. In both, Intelligence retains its purpose of supporting assessment and recommending next steps.
Example Use Cases
| Information Received | Support Provided by Intelligence | Possible Next Step |
|---|---|---|
| Court notice or docket update | Connect the content with the matter’s progress and identify actions to assess. | Check whether a filing is needed and gather the relevant documents. |
| Court decision | Examine what was decided and its possible effects on the matter. | Request an analysis of available measures or reassess the matter. |
| Client email | Identify the request, connect it with the history, and highlight information needed. | Request clarification, organize an analysis, or prepare a response. |
| Contract negotiation proposal | Examine proposed terms alongside existing instructions and positions. | Evaluate alternatives, seek approval, or begin revising the draft. |
| New document or supporting material | Consider its relevance to work in progress. | Supplement an analysis or revise a deliverable in progress. |
These next steps are suggestions for professional evaluation and depend on the available information and applicable criteria.
Decision Analysis is a specific application of Intelligence for court, administrative, and arbitral decisions.
Integration with the Looplex Platform
Intelligence can receive information supplied by the user or made available through platform integrations.
Looplex Monitoring provides information captured from monitored sources. Looplex Cases and Looplex Content make matter context and documents available. Playbooks guide the criteria applicable to the analysis.
Looplex Assistant supports the work arising from the actions selected, in Copilot or Autopilot mode, according to the scope and the review and approval steps defined by the organization.
Intelligence can also be used with information already available in the platform, without requiring a new capture by Monitoring.
Legal Knowledge and Professional Judgment
Intelligence supports the application of the organization’s legal knowledge through the context, documents, and instructions provided for each analysis.
Strategy, the choice between alternatives, and approval of actions remain with the responsible professionals. A recommendation can be adjusted or discarded based on the lawyer’s assessment.
Post-training of Looplex’s own models is limited to classification tasks and uses only fully anonymized data. Lawyers’ legal know-how is applied through the materials and criteria that guide the work, without being incorporated into model weights to train legal reasoning.
